At Winter Park Chiro we use individualized rehabilitative methods and a very specific hands-on approach to healing. We are the leading experts on the spine and musculoskeletal system, our exams can reveal objective findings within your injured areas that may not be visible on X-rays, MRI, or CT scans, to better treat and document injuries for third-party interests.

“We don’t provide cookie-cutter auto accident care, it’s simple we treat the patient and their needs”.

You will be with your doctors 100% of the time and not passed to an assistant or aide for treatment.

At Winter Park Chiro we work with many providers during this time to make sure you are being taken care of. We take the stress out of everything for you during this time of healing, so you can focus on getting better”.

Accident victims can develop immediate symptoms of pain, or they can have a later onset of pain in hours, days, weeks, or even months. They can have what is called compensatory pain in one area of the body due to an injury in another part of the body. They need to be addressed by a chiropractor even after you have seen a paramedic, emergency room, or family medical doctor.

Whiplash injury to the neck or cervical sprain/strain is by far the most common personal injury that results from a car accident, but other major areas of injury can be the mid back, the lower back, and joints of the extremities.

Sprains and strains are referred to as soft tissue injuries. Soft tissue injury includes muscles, tendons, and ligaments that are attached to the spine as well as extremities. Soft tissue injuries for the most part are invisible on X-rays and often overlooked. Soft tissue injuries can cause severe debilitating pain after a car accident or other traumatic injury. Worse yet, if a soft tissue injury is not directly addressed with proper rehabilitation and left untreated, an unresolved injured muscle and other soft tissue can end up causing chronic pain for months or even years following the accident.

We provide treatment of soft tissue and joint injuries, especially of the spine.

Injured muscles heal with scar tissue in a way that leaves them weaker, less elastic, and prone to re-injury and lasting pain. Active and passive therapies administered by Dr. Chance, Dr. Shoemaker, and Dr. Barnes can help restore muscular strength, flexibility, and normal function by correcting alignment and reducing potential scar tissue formation. This will allow the soft tissue to heal with less chance of future pain and dysfunction.

Our focus at Winter Park Chiro is on evidence-based chiropractic treatment, soft-tissue therapy, and exercise to heal and create sustainable long-term results for our patients.
