Dr. Barnes attended and completed her Doctorate at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, FL.  The school is regarded as the most prestigious chiropractic institution and offers the most comprehensive education in chiropractic technique as well as a very high standard of academic excellence. Dr. Barnes is a Board Certified Chiropractic  Physician  and Board Certified in Physiotherapy. She is also 1 of 5 Chiropractic Physicians in the Orlando area who holds a Webster Certification (ICPA).

The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic sacral analysis and diversified adjustment. The patient of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of sacral subluxation/SI joint dysfunction. In doing so, neuro-biomechanical function of the pelvis is facilitated. Sacral subluxation may contribute to difficult labor for the mother (i.e. dystocia), caused by inadequate uterine function, pelvic contraction, and baby mal-presentation. Correction of sacral subluxation may have a positive effect on all of these causes of dystocia.

While at Palmer, Dr. Barnes was introduced to pediatric and prenatal chiropractic. Having seen women in her life go through uncomfortable pregnancies and deliveries, she has developed a passion to create a network of support for all women to help them learn and trust their bodies, increase their day to day comfort, and become empowered health advocates for themselves and others.

Dr. Barnes is an active member in her church and community in the UCF area. She loves spending time with her friends, learning more about integrative health approaches, spending time at the Disney Parks, and enjoying all the delicious food this area has to offer (please feel free to ask for a recommendation!).
